How old does my child need to be to play?

Players must have a birth year of 2020 or earlier to be eligible for the Fall 2026 season. 

When is the registration deadline for the Fall 2026 season?

  •  The registration deadline for the Fall 2026 season is July 12, 2026.
  •  Early Bird registration ends on June 14, 2026.
  • Please note that late registrations will not be accepted. 

What is the cost to play soccer?

In-House Recreational Soccer

  • U6: $90 registration fee (Early Bird: $80)
  • U8 / U10: $120 registration fee (Early Bird: $110)

Travel Teams 

  • U10/U12 / U14: $95 registration fee; Uniform kit purchased separately
  • Uniform kit purchased separately: visit the Aretyn site to order: https://www.aretyn.store/mohawk-sc
  • Additional ordering information will be provided once your player is placed on a team.
  • Please note that late registrations will not be accepted.


What are the important dates for the Fall 2026 Season?

  • Registration is open and will close on July 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
  • Practices will begin approximately four weeks after registration closes. 

Where are the Soccer Fields and when are the games and practices?

Practices and games are held at several local fields, depending on age group:

  • Practices take place at North Beaver Fields, Hillsville Fields, and Bessemer Pump House Fields.

By age group:

  • U6 (in-house)
    • Practices: Typically once per week in the evening 
    • Games: Usually Saturday mornings at Hillsville Fields 
  • U8 (in-house)
    • Practices: Typically twice per week in the evenings 
    • Games: Usually Saturdays, held at Hillsville Fields 
  • U10 (in-house)
    • Practices: Typically twice per week in the evenings 
    • Games: Usually Saturdays, held at Hillsville Fields and occasionally at local schools (travel required--see Field Locations for field addresses) 
  • Travel U10/U12 / U14 
    • Practices: Typically twice per week in the evenings 
    • Games: Usually Sundays, held at North Beaver Fields and at other league locations (travel required) 

Please note that schedules may change due to weather, field availability, or other scheduling needs. Families will be notified promptly if any changes occur.

This is my child's first season, what does he/she need to get started?

Players should bring shin guards, an appropriately sized soccer ball, and water to all games and practices. Cleats must be soccer-specific, with plastic studs and no toe cleat. 

What size ball does my child need?

Soccer Ball Sizes by Age Group:

  • U6 & U8: Size 3 
  • U10 & U12: Size 4 
  • U14 and older: Size 5

We do not live in the Mohawk School District, can my child still participate?

Yes. Mohawk Area Soccer Club is open to all players and does not restrict participation based on school district or residence.

Are scholarships available?

Yes! MASC offers scholarships to help ensure every child has the opportunity to play. View our full Scholarship Policy below:


 Mohawk Area Soccer Club Scholarship Policy

The Mohawk Area Soccer Club is committed to making soccer accessible to all families by offering registration fee scholarships to players who demonstrate financial need.

Scholarships are subject to available funding and are not guaranteed.

Eligible players may receive a full registration scholarship for up to two (2) seasons (one fall and one spring season). If additional financial assistance is needed after these two scholarship seasons have been used, families may submit another request for consideration. Any additional assistance, if approved, will be awarded as a partial scholarship based on available funding and the club’s review of the request.

Families interested in applying for a scholarship should contact the club for application information and eligibility requirements.

The Mohawk Area Soccer Club reserves the right to review, modify, suspend, or discontinue this scholarship policy at any time without prior notice.
